I subscribe to this weekly free newsletter. I highly recommend clicking on the link and subscribing. Even if you don't follow a calorie restricted (CR) diet, this newsletter is packed with the latest studies and information on CR. And it only comes once per week, so it's not a big hassle to delete the email if you're not in the mood to read it.
It is generally accepted that CR is the only proven method today to extend one's life. Not only is CR for life extension, but to live optimally in our everyday lives. Those who practice CR have lower blood pressure, lower inflammation, lower glucose and insulin levels and other bio markers that indicate one is living at an optimum level. In other words, by simply cutting calories, but with superior nutrition, our bodies are being taken care of in the best way possible.
